9th Annual Telethon

About the Telethon

Every spring, the Rowan Television Network hosts a live 5 hour Telethon, each year benefiting different charity. The entire event is completely student produced, complete with an executive team as well as help from professors. In past years the Telethon has benefitted Relay For Life, Restore the Shore, and the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey.

Special Olympics Information:

Special Olympics New Jersey is an organization dedicated to bringing pride into the lives of all involved. We are a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization that provides sports training and athletic competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The organization operates on an annual budget primarily funded through individual, corporate, civic and foundation dollars that make up more than 98% of the annual operating budget.

SONJ programs:
All programs are free to registered athletes including insurance, facilities, equipment, uniforms, housing and meals for events, awards, sports, education and more. In addition to programs offered on the local, county, sectional and state levels, Special Olympics New Jersey offers athletes free participation in all activities at the Special Olympics New Jersey Sports Complex in Lawrenceville. Special Olympics New Jersey provides opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities to become athletes.
